FAQ

What types of personalised poems and poem speeches can you write?

All sorts! I’ve been busily writing poems for different events and occasions for several years now and always have plenty of ideas. Whether it’s a bespoke anniversary poem, personalised birthday poem or gift poem for someone on their retirement per say – I would love to help. I can write personalised wedding readings, poetic speeches and wedding favours. I also feel very privileged, when asked to pen a personalised funeral poem.

And if you have something else in mind – just ask away! As a small business, I have the capacity to be flexible and strive to provide a unique, fully bespoke poem writing service.

So, will I need to fill out a long form to book my personalised poem?

Once you have confirmed your booking by email or phone and payment has been received; I will typically email you some simple questions for your reply. Obviously, to make a fully bespoke, personalised poem that you and your recipient will love: more is more and details are key! However, some customers prefer to send me a screenshot of notes they’ve already jotted down, or email over some initial typed-up thoughts. We can work this out together. I will always ask for more info if needed and am happy to have a chat on the phone if you wish.

Erm, I want the poem to seem like it’s actually been written by me. Is that possible?

Yes it is. We can discuss tone of voice together. I understand your poem is personal and promise not to publish it or post it anywhere online. On occasion, I may post a Google business review per say, on my social media – but though these are publicly visible as standard, I will omit a last name if published on my socials.

How do I receive my bespoke poem?

I email you the final poem in MS Word format (and print-ready, pretty pdf if requested and subject to length). For gift-readiness, I can also print, and post your poem out to you on card stock if you wish. For full pricing, please check the Process & Pricing page.

Okay, so when and how do I pay?

Payment for your personalised poem is made at time of booking, via internet banking transfer or PayPal – whichever works for you.

But what if I really don’t like the poem?

After the drafted poem has been sent over, you have the chance to let me know if there are parts you want me to change, omit or add. This is a standard part of the process. If however, you’re still really not feeling the finished product (and a further tweak just won’t do); I’m happy to provide a refund.
